Charalampos has a very important profession: he is a firefighter. He works in shifts at the fire station, ready to help people whenever there is danger.
One Sunday afternoon, while Charalampos and his colleagues are on duty, the alarm sounds. A fire has broken out on Antheon Street, and the firefighters rush to the scene. There, Charalampos bravely helps put out the fire and rescues Babis, who is trapped inside the house.
A little later, another call comes in. This time, Mrs. Antigoni’s cat, Maritsa, has climbed high into a tree and cannot come down. Charalampos and his friends use patience, care, and teamwork to bring her safely back.
This children’s story introduces young readers to the profession of the firefighter and teaches courage, responsibility, kindness, teamwork, and the importance of helping others.
